Rape Culture

The video and tweets/facebook posts are especially alarming. How all these people can be more concerned about the 'ruined futures' of those instead of the liberties that were taken against that poor girl, is beyond me. Saying that it was the girl's fault for drinking too much, blaming the victim for the circumstance, gives them and people like them the license to take advantage of others in similar situations. Making it ok. Apparently, once someone drinks too much at a party, they relinquish their rights to their body and gives any asshole permission to do with it as they wish. And the worse part... The victim will be blamed. If you excuse that behaviour under these circumstances, it facilitates people to go further, do more, with less inducement.

The patriarchy strikes again.
